2

Include Your Activities and Essay

On the Common Application, you will be required to list your activities and write a college essay. We encourage you to be as thorough as possible in completing these sections, as these items are part of our holistic review process.

3

Send Your Official High School Transcripts

High school transcripts are required to complete your application and must be official in order to be reviewed. Transcripts sent to us by students are not considered official.

Please have your school counselor or other school official submit your official high school transcript electronically through Common App (strongly recommended) or through another electronic service (e.g., Naviance, Parchment, ACT, Scoir, Scribonline, etc.). If your school cannot send electronically, transcripts can be mailed to: University Admissions, 8000 York Road, Towson, Maryland 21252.

Students who intend to graduate high school early are also required to submit a letter from a school official to certify the student's completion plan and graduation date.

Please note and review these additional requirements for International students and Home-school students.

4

Submit Test Scores (Optional)

We do not require the SAT or ACT for admissions review. If test scores are submitted with an application, they will be considered, but will not negatively impact an application for admission. See our Test-Optional FAQs.

5

Provide Proof of English Language Proficiency

Students that attend school outside of the United States may be required to provide proof of English-language proficiency. Review more information on these requirements.
