Community Engagement Projects
The Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility has established partnerships with departments on campus and organizations in local communities to connect Towson University (TU) students with activities that contribute to community-identified projects and deepen students’ academic and civic learning.
By participating in these community engagement opportunities, students develop their civic agency, enhance their intercultural knowledge and create a pathway to engage in long-term civic action.
Explore available hourly or short-term community-based learning opportunities on campus and in local communities. Students, staff, and faculty can get connected to the Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility partner sites by completing the Community Engagement Request Form. BTU offers additional community engagement resources for faculty and staff.
The Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility also provides long-term community engagement opportunities, including the Lutherville Lab Mentors program and the Social Action Collaboratory.
