Your Award Notification

If TU offers you a scholarship, you will receive a scholarship offer letter from the awarding department that will explain that scholarship's eligibility and renewal requirements.

If you complete the federal aid application process (FAFSA), the TU Financial Aid Office will use that data to determine your eligibility for need-based grants and federal loans.  Then, we will send you a TU Award Notification with the following information:

• Costs - Estimated cost to attend TU next year including estimated TU charges and other indirect expenses (personal, transportation, and off-campus housing and food).
• Grants - If you are eligible for need-based grants, it will list your grant amounts.
• Scholarships - We don't award scholarships based on FAFSA data, but if you were previously offered scholarships, we will list them on your award notification.
• Loan Limits - The maximum amounts you can borrow from federal loan programs.  

Notification Dates

• New students — the Financial Aid Office starts mailing award notifications to fall 2024 applicants in April.
• Returning students — the Financial Aid Office will start emailing award notifications to returning students' TU email accounts in June.

Viewing and Accepting Aid

Each Award Notification lists your aid offers for one academic year (fall and spring terms). If you apply for summer aid, it will be listed at the end of the academic year (fall, spring, summer). To view and accept your awards, follow the instructions at Accepting Aid.
