Transfer students who are interested in applying to the main Towson University campus should apply using Towson's online application.

Steps to apply:

  1. View the list of Undergraduate Programs.

    View the list of undergraduate programs offered at TU in Northeastern Maryland. Some majors have additional requirements or screening criteria, such as auditions, prerequisite courses, supplemental applications or GPA requirements. Admission to Towson University does not guarantee entry to these majors. The following programs have additional requirements:

    Business Administration - Management concentration
    Elementary Education/Special Education
    Early Childhood/Special Education

  2. Complete your application

    You can apply for admission to Towson University using the online Towson University in Northeastern Maryland application. 

    1. Create your Applyweb account.
    2. Complete your email verification and proceed to the application using the link provided by email.
    3. Click the Application for Partnership Programs.
    4. Log in to your new account.
    5. At the Application for Partnership Programs page, use "Partners" as your password and proceed with completion of your application.
  3. Pay your application fee.                                                                                         A $45 non-deferrable, non-refundable fee (or fee waiver) is required with your application. You will be able to pay the application fee with a credit card or electronic check.
  4. Know the deadlines.                                                                                             The final application deadline is Jun. 15 for fall admission (will remain open on a space-available basis) and Dec. 15 for spring. To be considered for merit-based scholarships offered through University Admissions, you must apply and submit your transcripts and standardized test scores (if you have earned fewer than 30 transferrable credits) by Dec. 1. The FASFA deadline is Jan. 17.
  5. Send your transcripts.                                                                                       Submit an official transcript from each college or university that you have attended directly to University Admissions. If you have earned than fewer than 30 college credits, a high school transcript is also required. Official transcripts may be sent from each of your colleges or universities directly via email to or mail to: Towson University, University Admissions, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD, 21252.
