Towson University offers residential students XFINITY On Campus™ for viewing cable TV

What Is XFINITY On Campus™?

XFINITY On Campus includes live Cable TV programming plus thousands of shows and movies through XFINITY On Demand™ for streaming to laptops and the XFINITY Stream app for watching on mobile devices. Access to HBO Max and network specific TV Go apps is also available on and off campus. This IPTV (Internet TV) service is included in the housing cost. You can borrow a Roku media player from Student Computing Services in Cook 35 or Towson Run 123.

Looking for more content? Upgrade to Showtime®, Starz®, the Sports Entertainment Package with NFL RedZone, international networks, and other premium networks starting as low as $9.99/month. These upgrades are not included in the housing cost.  

To login from a Computer 

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: tu-secure
  2. Visit http://www.xfinityoncampus.com. 
  3. Select Towson University.  
  4. Sign in using your NetID.
  5. Once authenticated, click Start Watching.

To login through a Roku Media Player  

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: tu-openaccess
  2. Add the XFINITY Stream channel and open it. 
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen. 
  4. You will see the XFINITY login page; do not log in here. Instead, click XFINITY On Campus Students - Sign in here. 
  5. Select Towson University. 
  6. At the Towson University Authenticated Login screen, sign in using your NetID.Once authenticated, you will be returned to the XFINITY Stream app. 

To login on a Mobile Device 

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: tu-secure. If you're having issues connecting choose tu-openaccess.
  2. Download the XFINITY Stream app from the App Store. 
  3. You will see the XFINITY login page; do not log in here. Instead, click XFINITY On Campus Students - Sign in here. 
  4. Select Towson University. 
  5. At the Towson University Authenticated Login screen, sign in using your NetID.Once authenticated, you will be returned to the XFINITY Stream app. 

To log into a specific Network/App/Website (HBO Max, CNN, TruTV, etc.)

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: tu-secure. If you're having issues connecting choose tu-openaccess.
  2. Download the app to your device or go to the network's webpage. Follow instructions on the screen. Some apps may require you to create an account that must be linked to your TU account. 
  3. When prompted to sign into your TV provider, select XFINITY from the list of providers.
  4. You will see the XFINITY login page; do not log in here. Instead, select XFINITY On Campus Students - Sign in here.
  5. Select Towson University.
  6. At the Towson University Authenticated Login screen, sign in using your NetID. Once authenticated, you will be returned to the XFINITY Stream app.

Note: You will only be able to view content that is included in your XFINITY On Campus package. Upgrades to additional channel packages are available at xfinityoncampus.com.

Billing support desk 

For questions about add-on subscriptions, monthly billing or payments, call XFINITY at 877-978-3229. This number can also be found on credit card billing statements and in the online billing portal. 

Self-service

Descriptive error messages alert users to technical issues and point them toward self-service solutions. Answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) are available in the Support section once you are logged into XFINITY on Campus.

Social media

The Comcast Digital Media Outreach (DMO) team monitors Twitter for student questions and comments and can help troubleshoot basic problems: @ComcastCares, #xfinityoncampus.

Millennium, Tubman and Harris Hall Residents 

What Is Apogee?

Apogee is the digital TV and Internet service provider for Millennium Hall, Tubman House and Harris Hall. Instead of having access to XFINITY On Campus, residents have access to Apogee's Stream2 service.  

Support and Product Help  

For Apogee support, residents of these three halls may call 1-855-241-1590 or visit the Stream2 website. Support for all other residence halls is provided by OTS Student Computing Services (SCS).   

Frequently Asked Questions  

Is there an additional charge for the DVR feature? 

No, it is included with XFINITY On Campus.   

I'm not seeing an option to record in the guide. What's wrong? 

Make sure you are recording from one of the numbered TV channels at the beginning of the guide and not from a TV Go channel.   

What content is available on and off campus? 

Available On Campus Only (i.e., tu-secure, tu-openaccess and campus Ethernet ports)
