Business Admin Major: Financial Planning
The demand for professionals in wealth management is growing exponentially. This program provides the necessary knowledge and skills to enter the financial planning profession and pursue a rewarding career helping individuals maximize their investments and reach their goals. Typical career tracks are personal financial planner, investments advisor or wealth management specialists. As a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) Board Registered Program, the business administration major with a track in financial planning fulfills the education requirement for CFP® Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.
This program is unique to the Baltimore area. As a part of this program, which is unique to the Baltimore area, you will become certified in eMoney Advisor, an essential software to financial planners in the industry, as well as complete the Bloomberg Essentials Certification for Equities, which certifies your skills with Bloomberg terminal technology, the global standard for financial data service, giving you a competitive advantage.
Admission Requirements
Business administration is a screened major. Students are admitted to the business administration major (BUAD) only after successfully completing a set of required courses with a C or higher in each of those courses and an overall TU GPA of 2.0 or higher. See all admission requirements.
