Scholarship descriptions and requirements:
The Neal Fredericks Filmmakers Scholarship
- declared EMF major
- full-time, entering junior year in Fall 2009
- GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Award amount: $235
The Barry Levinson Scholarship Fund
- declared EMF or Pre-EMF major
- junior or senior status by Fall 2009
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- award based on demonstrated academic achievement
- Award amount: TBA
The O’Connor Scholarship
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- award based on merit and demonstrated, sincere interest in radio broadcasting
- two awards will be given
- Award amount: $959 each
The Michael J. Robinson Scholarship Fund (two scholarships will be awarded)
- declared EMF or Pre-EMF major
- award based on merit with financial need a possible consideration
- preference given to students who work part-time during the academic year and full-time during summer recess.
- two awards will be given
- Award amount: $717 each
The George F. Rogers Scholarship
- major in journalism, new media, public relations, advertising, or EMF
- must be graduating December 2009 or May 2010
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- major GPA of 3.25 or higher
- non-renewable
- Award amount: TBA
The Alexander E. Sidorowicz Memorial Fund
- sophmore, junior, or senior status
- demonstrated academic achievement
- outstanding talent in their field of study
- award not renewable
- Award amount: $500
The WTMD Scholarship Fund
- sophomore status by Fall 2009
- demonstrated promise for success in the radio profession
- preference given to students who work or volunteer for WTMD
- financial need is a possible
