ELECTRONIC MEDIA AND FILM

Undergraduate Program

Students work in the editing lab.
The Electronic Media and Film major focuses on the study of the aesthetics and production of film, television and radio. The major is divided into three tracks: Film/Video/Digital Media, Radio/Audio, and Film and Media Studies. Within the tracks, students are encouraged to develop skills in writing, media history and criticism, and professional media production.

The Electronic Media and Film major is an undergraduate degree program leading either to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree and is designed to prepare students for career positions in film, television, video, radio, and other media.

Students selecting the major should contact the department to be assigned an advisor who will assist them in designing a program to meet their special needs. Students will meet with their advisor each semester to discuss their progress and facilitate necessary changes in their course of study.
