Freshmen admitted to the university and interested in living in university owned and operated housing (excluding Capstone Properties – Paca House and Tubman House) may go online starting February 2, 2015, 9:00 a.m. – Friday, May 1, 2015, 5:00 p.m. E.T. to apply for housing. Students who are not able to pay the deposit online using a credit card can request a housing packet by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling Housing & Residence Life at 410-704-2516.
For University Housing you must complete the online process. This includes paying a $350 non-refundable housing deposit* and agreeing to the terms and conditions of the housing contract. By paying the $350 non-refundable deposit and signing the housing contract the student is committed to living in University Housing for the 2015/2016 academic year. Once admitted to the university, you will need to activate your student email address in order to logon to the Student Housing Gateway (see the 2015 To Do List for more details - It normally takes 1-2 business days, after email account activation, before you can logon). Once in the gateway, you will be required to pay the $350 non-refundable housing deposit, agree to the terms and conditions of the housing contract for the academic year 2015/2016, and request other housing options. After having completed the online process, a confirmation will be emailed to your Towson Email address confirming your housing for the 2015/2016 academic year.
*Please Note: Since Paca and Tubman Houses are not operated by the university, the non-refundable Housing Deposit paid to the University is not transferable to Capstone. Also, any monies paid to Capstone cannot be transferred to the University.
Transfer Housing - Fall 2015
Transferring students are not guaranteed on-campus housing and only a limited number of housing contracts may be accepted if space becomes available. Please check back to this website on May 7, 2015 and information will be posted at that time regarding the availability of housing for the 2015/2016 academic year. If you would like to be placed on an “interest” list in the event spaces becomes available for the 2015/2016 academic year, please click on the link below to complete an Interest List form. If or when space becomes available, you will be notified through your Towson email address, if you completed and submitted the Interest List form. Be sure to check back to this site for an update regarding housing availability on May 7.
Any current full-time student who lives off-campus and is interested in moving on-campus is eligible if they meet the following criteria:
Must be a full-time student registered at TU with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Have accumulated 29 or fewer credit hours (not including the current semester’s classes).
Have not previously lived in university housing.
If you meet all the above criteria, it will depend on when you would like to move on-campus as to the process you need to follow. Freshmen currently living off-campus - Spring 2015
As we have filled the currently available spaces, the online payment for housing is no longer available. We anticipate a limited number of spaces to become available in January. If you are interested in on-campus housing you should complete and submit an interest form which can be found below. Students who complete this form will be notified should space become available.
