Towson University provides group discount programs and services to meet the distinct needs of our faculty and staff. These programs are voluntary and allow faculty and staff to personalize a package that suits them. Faculty and staff who choose to utilize these programs contact the sponsoring companies directly and are required to pay any associated costs.
Faculty and staff are eligible for discounted cell phone service with the following vendors. To take advantage of these discounts, faculty and staff must provide their Towson identification and a recent pay stub at the stores listed below, or register online using their Towson email account.

Cruise One offers discounts of up to 60% on a variety of cruise lines. The company’s cruise specialists will keep you informed of special rates available and help you choose the right cruise line and destination according to interest and budget.
Erickson Living Retirement Communities contain modern, comfortable apartment homes in a private, gated community open to individuals age 60 or above. The friendly environment offers a wide variety of amenities, from a fitness center and indoor pool to an on-site medical center.
Faculty and staff and their families are eligible to receive discounted rates as a corporate class member from Enterprise Rent‐A-Car. Contact Enterprise via their website or 1‐800‐Rent‐A‐Car, indicate you are a corporate class member, and provide the TU corporate account number 18B1708 to receive a discount.
Home Buying and Selling
SmartMove is a paid service which offers its members assistance with and rewards for purchasing and selling properties. Members gain access to home buying and selling seminars, assistance with selecting a realtor, and other individualized real estate services via SmartMove advocates. In addition, SmartMove members receive cash rebates every time they buy or sell real estate, including residential, commercial and investment properties.
Vehicle and Furniture Purchases
The United Buying Service (UBS) is a membership-based program that offers pre-negotiated cost savings on vehicle and furniture purchases in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Metro area. Towson University is a UBS member organization, so all faculty and staff and their families are eligible to use the service.

Employee Assistance Program
Towson University offers a comprehensive employee assistance program, through Inova. All regular and contingent faculty and staff and their families are eligible to receive a wide range of helpful services 24/7. Services and support includes child and eldercare referrals, resources for children with special needs, short term counseling, and other life and work services. Employees can access Inova services via the Inova website or by calling 1-800-346-0110 (username/password: towsonu). There is no need for a supervisory referral, although they are still available by contacting the Employee Relations and Development unit. Services are confidential and there is no cost to employees for any of Inova's services.
