Division of Innovation & Applied Research

For Students

Towson University’s students and alumni are everywhere! They are leaders in non-profit organizations, in city, state, and federal government agencies, and in businesses across every industry sector. They are launching new companies and developing the world’s next great invention. The Division of Innovation and Applied Research is committed to helping you achieve your goals through our numerous student internships, professional certifications, and entrepreneurial education and support. Our students work on a wide range of internal and external projects in the areas of:

  • Programming and website development
  • Economic research and analysis
  • Marketing and event management
  • Business and finance
  • GIS mapping

Student Internships

Undergraduate Towson University students interested in an internship with the Division of Innovation and Applied Research should utilize the Hire@TU internship database to search for open positions. Any questions about specific internships can be directed to our Internship Coordinator, Nicole Schiraldi.

Graduate Assistantships

Those interested in a graduate assistantship with the Division of Innovation and Applied Research should contact the Office of Graduate Studies. The Division offers limited graduate assistantships, but can help graduate students facilitate the establishment of an assistantship with an external business, non-profit, or agency.
