4. Know the deadlines.

The final application deadline is Jan. 15 for fall admission and Oct. 15 for spring, however applications for fall 2014 are still being accepted on a space-available basis. To be considered for merit-based scholarships offered through University Admissions, you must apply and submit your transcripts and standardized test scores (if you have earned fewer than 30 transferrable credits) by Dec. 1. See all deadlines.

5. Pay your application fee.
A $45 non-deferrable, non-refundable fee (or fee waiver) is required with your application. If you apply online, you will be able to pay the application fee with a credit card or electronic check.

6. Send your transcripts.
Submit to University Admissions an official transcript from each college or university you’ve attended. If you’ve earned fewer than 30 college credits, a high school transcript is also required. Official transcripts may be sent from each of your colleges or universities directly via email to Admissions_Documents@Towson.edu .

7. Submit standardized test scores.
Standardized test scores are not typically required for transfer applicants unless they have earned fewer than 30 transferable credits. For students who have fewer than 30 transferable credits, Towson requires that you submit the SAT or ACT test scores for admission to TU.

If you are submitting an SAT score, Towson University’s College Board identification number is 5404. For the ACT, our identification number is 1718.

8. Write an essay.
Submitting an essay with your Towson application is required. The topic is up to you.

9. Find out if your intended major has additional requirements.
Some majors have additional requirements or screening criteria, such as auditions, prerequisite courses, supplemental applications or GPA requirements. Admission to Towson University does not guarantee entry to these majors.
