Student selfie contest looks to find out #WhereIsKanji

Posting a selfie to Instagram with TU photographer Kanji Takeno can get students an iPad Pro, an iPhone 6 or BOSE Headphones.

For Towson University students, it’s a rite of passage to have their photo taken by TU staff photographer Kanji Takeno. But during the first week of classes, students have a chance to turn the tables on him.

To celebrate the start of the fall 2016 term, Towson University is running a “Where is Kanji” contest on its official Instagram page (@towsonuniversity).

Students should be on the lookout for Kanji during the first week of classes (Aug. 29 –Sept. 2) to take a selfie with him and then post it on their Instagram using the hashtag #whereiskanji, and tagging the official TU account.

The following week, there will be a random drawing to decide three winners. Winners will receive an iPad Pro, iPhone 6 or a pair of Bose headphones.

Each student who posts a photo will receive an entry into the drawing. There is only one entry per Instagram account. Entrants must be over the age of 18 and currently enrolled at Towson University.

Upon winning, prizes will be picked up at the Administration Building. Winners must provide a valid TU OneCard.
