Register to attend the Perusall Workshop

Join us for an engaging session where we dive into the basics of Perusall, a social annotation tool that fosters active learning and student collaboration. This workshop is designed to provide an introduction to Perusall for faculty new to the tool, while also featuring insights from experienced faculty members who will share real-life examples from their courses. Additionally, the FACET ID team will lead an exploration of key considerations and practical applications for integrating Perusall into your teaching, ensuring a seamless and effective use of this dynamic platform. Register to attend the AI DEI in the Classroom Workshop

Generative AI affords faculty new pedagogies as well as new ways to employ traditional ones to address diversity efforts in teaching and learning.  AI initiatives enjoy an increasingly significant role in teaching and learning.  The digital tools associated with AI can support teaching and learning ways that increase efficiency, engagement, and student success.   This session is designed to demonstrate how a unique diversity framework guides faculty in the integration of AI tools to support representation, inclusion, social justice and cultural identity initiatives in the classroom.  Accompanying AI tools provide exciting opportunities for faculty and students to participate in a learning environment whereby everyone is included and represented.  Further, faculty can employ digital tools that support students’ social justice efforts related to the discipline and course content. Learn how to easily create images that reflect the diversity of your students, quickly develop scripts representative of diverse points of view that can be used in videos, case studies, and role plays.  Emphasis will be placed on how to use the tools to achieve diversity, equity and inclusion goals for teaching and learning.  All are welcome from AI novices to experts.

Register for the High-impact Practices Workshop

High Impact Practices foster student success across TU’s divisions, colleges, and departments, but mostly these efforts are siloed.  Come grab lunch to share your current or potential HIPs experiences, learn how others across campus are supporting student success with their HIPs, and explore opportunities for innovation and collaboration.   We don’t have to go it alone!  All are welcome to listen, learn and link!

Register to attend the LinkedIn Learning Lunchbox Talk

Can’t make the live session? Register to ensure you receive a copy of the recording and resources!

LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform offering thousands of expert-led video tutorials across a wide range of topics, from professional development to technical skills. It allows faculty to integrate high-quality, on-demand content directly into their courses to support student learning.

Members of the Blackboard and FACET team will lead a discussion on best practices for integrating LinkedIn Learning content into your course, whether as graded or ungraded activities. Our LinkedIn Learning representative will demonstrate how to create custom playlists and utilize powerful customization features, including building learning playlists tailored specifically to your course needs.

Learn how to leverage this resource to enrich your curriculum and provide students with additional learning opportunities.

Join us for discussions on Al use, integrating Al-based tools into your instruction and exploring various generative Al tools! Drop-Ins are held monthly during the fall semester.
