Sexual Misconduct Training [formerly Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) & Reporting of Child
The University of Maryland System (USM), Department of Education and Office of Civil Rights have mandated
that institutions take appropriate steps to provide a safer environment
for students on campus. A required component of this mandate is training
for faculty and staff.
In this training, the Office of Diversity and Equal
Opportunity has outlined learning objectives, definitions, responses, and
ways to report incidents of sexual misconduct.
To access the training, please log into Blackboard (or from the "My TU" homepage) with your user name and password.
Accessing Sexual Misconduct Training
1. To access the OHR compliance suite, go to https://blackboard.towson.edu
2. Log into Blackboard with your regular Towson University credentials
3. Click on the HRC: OHR Compliance Suite course title within the “My Courses” module, near the center of the screen
4. Select Sexual Misconduct
Note: In order for Blackboard to function properly,
please be sure to use Firefox or Chrome on PC and Safari on Mac as your browser. It is also necessary to have the latest Java
installed. If you are using a campus computer that you don't
have administrative rights on, use Software Center to update
Java. If you experience any problems related to computer
accessibility, fill out a service request online at techhelp.towson.edu. Please indicate that you are having problems with the Sexual Misconduct Training.
