Biography

As Director, Jackie Gratz has oversight of the total program of The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Towson University. A primary responsibility is curriculum planning and implementation of the Institute's on-campus academic program as well as its programs at local retirement communities and the Towson public library.

Jackie holds a M.A. in History from Harvard University and a B.A. in History from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has done additional graduate work at the Johns Hopkins University. She was Associate Professor of History at Mount Saint Agnes College. Her academic background provides a broad perspective for her work in curriculum planning. During four years as Curriculum Chair for the former Auburn Society, three of those as volunteer, she demonstrated the commitment, the leadership qualities, and the organizational, management, and communications skills that are well suited for the position of Director.
