Incoming Freshmen

Fall 2017

Freshmen admitted to the university and interested in living in university owned and operated housing (excluding Capstone Properties – Paca House and Tubman House) may go online starting February 1, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – May 1, 2017, 5:00 p.m. E.T. to apply for housing. Students who are not able to pay the deposit online using a credit card can request a housing packet by emailing or calling Housing & Residence Life at 410-704-2516.

For University Housing you must complete the online process. This includes paying a $350 non-refundable housing deposit* and agreeing to the terms and conditions of the housing contract. By paying the $350 non-refundable deposit and signing the housing contract the student is committed to living in University Housing for the 2017/2018 academic year. Once admitted to the university, you will need to activate your student email address in order to logon to the Student Housing Gateway (see the 2017 To Do List for more details). Once in the gateway, you will be required to pay the $350 non-refundable housing deposit, agree to the terms and conditions of the housing contract for the academic year 2017/2018, and request other housing options. After having completed the online process, a confirmation will be emailed to your Towson Email address confirming your housing for the 2017/2018 academic year.

*Please Note: Since Paca and Tubman Houses are not operated by the university, the non-refundable Housing Deposit paid to the University is not transferable to Capstone. Also, any monies paid to Capstone cannot be transferred to the University.


Transferring Students - Fall 2017

Transferring students are not guaranteed on-campus housing and only a limited number of spaces may become available. 

Please check back on or about 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9 2017 for an update on the availability of housing.

If housing is available at that time, you will be provided instructions on how to pay the $350 non-refundable deposit and sign an academic year housing contract in order to reserve a space in university housing.


Current Students

Fall 2017

Current students interested in living in university housing will receive an email to their Towson email in mid-February. Students will be able to pay their housing deposit starting Monday, February 13 – Thursday, March 16 at 5pm.  Complete the online application process to insure you will have housing for the 2017/2018 academic year.

Upperclassmen, remember that you will be required to live in Towson Run, Carroll or Marshall Hall. Increased cost applies when living in one of these apartments. 

Students who accumulated 90 or more credit hours as of the end of Fall 2016, will not be eligible to return to live in university housing for 2017/2018.

 

Off-Campus Students

Students living off-campus are not eligible to live on-campus in University Housing or Capstone Housing for the fall semester due to the following:

  • The demand for housing far exceeds the space available to accommodate all students interested in living on campus;
  • In order to accommodate all New Freshmen who are guaranteed housing for four consecutive semesters;
