Admission Requirements & Deadlines

This program accepts students for fall, spring and summer terms. To ensure timely processing, submit your application and supporting materials as early as possible. Application deadlines are August 1, January 2, and May 1, respectively. While we may continue to accept the supporting materials after these dates, we cannot guarantee that your application will be reviewed in time for the start of classes.

Admission Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university* (No specific undergraduate major is required for the Professional Track.)
  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 is required for full admission. All GPA calculations are made based on the last 60 credits of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study.
  • Satisfactory completion of an elementary statistics and/or nursing research course
  • Completion of an approved physical assessment course
  • A one-page personal statement discussing your reasons for seeking admission to the program and how the program will meet your professional goals.
  • A current resume or curriculum vita.
  • A photocopy of a current license to practice nursing in at least one state in the U.S. Prior to any clinical practice course, the student must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Maryland.
