EMF Student in TV Studio

The Electronic Media and Film (EMF) major is divided into three concentrations: Film/Video/Digital Media, Radio/Audio, and Film and Media Studies. Within the concentrations, students are encouraged to develop skills in writing, media history and criticism, and professional media production.

The Electronic Media and Film major is a screened undergraduate degree program leading either to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. As a screened major, students will be considered pre-EMF until they fulfill all requirements necessary for full major status. The EMF major is designed to prepare students for career positions in film, television, video, audio, radio, and other media.

Students selecting the major will be assigned an advisor to assist them in designing a program to meet their special needs. Students will meet with their advisor each semester to discuss their progress towards graduation and possible career opportunities.
