Mark Maynard
Mark Maynard is a leadership coach, hospitality consultant, and keynote speaker who empowers leaders to create bold goals and the processes to achieve them.
As a coach, Mark partners with clients to help them overcome obstacles, achieve clarity, and arrive at insights that generate personal and professional growth. Unlike consulting, coaching involves less telling and more asking as clients navigate their journey of self-discovery. Mark received his coaching training at the Coach Certification Training Academy and has his ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation.
His firm, Maynard Consulting, builds on decades of experience at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, where Mark conceptualized, built, and operated businesses in different sectors of the service industry. In his time there, he was a versatile leader known for using a holistic approach to develop teams, create new brands, and enable businesses to become and remain profitable. As a consultant, he helps entrepreneurs optimize three areas of performance—the customer journey, the employee experience, and financial performance.
Mark is an entrepreneur in residence at the Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at Cornell University, a facilitator at the Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute at Towson University, and a regular guest lecturer at Columbia Business School and New York University.
