Our Town: Maryland Zoo

Sharon Bowen ’04 is one of the zoo’s education managers.

Bowen focuses on school and teacher programs and oversees summer camps. She also gives talks to some of the zoo’s 500,000 annual visitors, often with ambassador penguins like Dawn, the one she’s holding here. Located in Baltimore's Druid Hill Park, the zoo maintains the largest colony of African penguins in North America.
