Making a Great University Even Greater
President Ginsberg reflects on his first month in office in his November newsletter
Today marks one month since I began my role as the 15th president of Towson University, and what an eventful, exciting month it has been.
From introductory gatherings to athletic events, university celebrations, community programs & more—I have received such a warm welcome from the TU community, my University System of Maryland colleagues and the many state leaders who visited our campus or reached out with well wishes.
Although I’m still early in my tenure, my knowledge of TU and of greater Baltimore goes far beyond my appointment as president. As a Maryland resident for more than four decades, I have watched TU transform from a local treasure to a national powerhouse.
Today, TU is an engine for opportunity, innovation, workforce development and economic growth—we are a university that is changing Maryland every day for the better. And, we make this impact while providing students with access to an excellent, world-class education that prepares them for personal and professional success.
I look forward to working with you to build upon TU’s legacy of achievements as we together plan for the next era of TU and help our “great university become even greater.”
