A message from President Ginsberg regarding administrative leave day/classes canceled for July 5
University to be closed on Friday, July 5, as a one-time administrative leave day
Dear TU faculty, staff and students:
I hope you all are finding time to enjoy the summer break.
I am very pleased to inform our university community that I have designated Friday, July 5 as a one-time administrative leave day. Consequently, our university’s administrative offices will be closed and all classes canceled on that day. Some essential services will remain open, and essential personnel scheduled to work should continue to report to work.
In consultation with our cabinet, this decision was made both in recognition of the much-appreciated work of our faculty and staff and in response to feedback that I have heard from our campus community. This is a one-time administrative day — our three TU holidays were previously allocated, which you can find on our significant dates calendar. Any questions should be directed to the Office of Human Resources at 410-704-2162.
I hope that this administrative day will provide an opportunity for you to refresh and recharge as we prepare for the new fiscal and academic year.
Thank you for all you do in support of our university.
Go Tigers!
Mark R. Ginsberg, Ph.D.
President
