Towson University has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations
TU is one of 22 institutions in the nation to receive highly selective designation
Towson University’s has once again been named a National Security Agency (NSA) Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in cyber operations, making it one of just 22 institutions in the nation to earn the designation. This designation will last through the 2029 academic year. Towson University was first designated an NSA CAE in cyber operations in 2014; the institution is also an NSA CAE in cyber defense education.
As a CAE in cyber operations, TU’s Center for Interdisciplinary and Innovative Cybersecurity (Cyber4All Center) has received several grants from the NSA and National Science Foundation (NSF) to pioneer innovative solutions in cybersecurity education.
"We are thrilled to receive this support from the NSA and the CAE community," says Matthew Nugent, dean of the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics. "This work will empower professors and teachers around the country to push the boundaries of cyber and AI education."
