Software for Students

Many software titles are available to TU students for free, or at a discounted cost. SCS offers installation assistance in Cook 35, Towson Run 123 and TUNE 206.

Towson University offers students many free and discounted applications, including the most recent versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Here are the ways to get software:

University site-licensed software for students, faculty and staff.

Office 365 Portal 

Download Microsoft Office - which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote - for free use for as long as you're a registered TU student. You can also access your 1TB of storage in OneDrive for Business.

OntheHub.com 

Students can get Microsoft software at an educational discount through www.onthehub.com. Majors in the following programs can download Microsoft titles for free: College of Business and Economics, Applied Information Technology and Computer Science and Information Technology.

Student Computing Services (SCS) Lab Applications 

There's no need to download—SCS has more than 80 applications for use in the three Computer Labs.

wēpa Print Apps 

Print your papers and other assignments from your laptop, tablet or smartphone to any of the 21 wēpa Printing Stations on campus. Visit the Mobile Apps page for more details on how to get the wēpa app.
