Towson University offers web publishing services for faculty, staff, students, departments and organizations. 

Web Publishing Options

WordPress: wp.towson.edu and wpstudent.towson.edu

WordPress is a browser-based solution that requires no knowledge of HTML, with easy-to-use professional-looking templates. Themes and plug-ins are be pre-defined, but are easily customizable.

Login to your student site or a faculty, staff or organization site. See how to use your WordPress site, including how to add content, customize, use widgets and publish your site. Need more help? You can also request a secondary or departmental site, report a problem or ask a question about WordPress.  

Basic Web Publishing: tigerweb.towson.edu

TigerWeb is a simple HTML-based site which allows use of any web publishing applications. It's available to students, faculty and staff and is primarily for personal use. However, faculty can also recommend this for class projects.

Web Applications: webapps.towson.edu

These .NET web applications are for specific faculty, staff or departments that require more advance programming on a Windows server. These are more complex, usually with a back-end database.

Faculty, staff and departments can request a Web Application by submitting a TechHelp service request. Report an issue with Web Apps.

Virtual Web Servers

These are dedicated servers that accommodate special programming or applications. There may be a fee for hosting. Faculty and departments must specially request this option from the Office of Technology Services by submitting a TechHelp service request.
