Something people might not know about TU.
When you visit campus, you might be surprised to find that the class sizes are fairly small. Small class sizes are part of what makes TU such a great place because they allow students to build connections with classmates and faculty. Teachers also take the time to get to know their students individually and help them throughout their college journey and beyond.

My advice to anyone who's applying.
Give yourself time, take note of important deadlines, and create a plan. This will allow you the time to research the materials you will need so you are able to successfully submit your application. You can also reach out to your admissions counselors for any questions or concerns along the way — we are here to help.

Why I work in Admissions.
I have always enjoyed working with people in a one-on-one setting and wanted to work somewhere that I could make an impact. Working in admissions allows me the space to build and strengthen connections with prospective students to help guide them throughout their transfer journey.

The coolest thing I’ve heard someone say about Towson University.
When I’m not at work, I am usually wearing TU gear of some sort. I’ve been stopped more than a few times by people who graduated from Towson University and now their kids are students at TU. It’s pretty amazing to see how special Towson University is from generation to generation.

My warm and fuzzy moment.
As a former non-traditional student, I wasn’t sure if going to a four-year college would be a feasible option for me after graduating from community college. Against all fears, I applied to Towson University anyway. When I transferred in 2021, I knew I made the right decision. I had such an incredible experience meeting new classmates and taking challenging courses with professors who truly cared about the success of their students. These great experiences led me to pursue a career at TU, so becoming a transfer admissions counselor has really been a full circle moment for me.

My student experiences helped prepare me for my job.
My student experiences have absolutely helped prepare me for my role as a transfer admissions counselor. Throughout the various courses I took, I was able to explore different career opportunities to see what would be the best fit for me.
