Why I work in admissions.
College can be such an impactful and transformative time for a person. I really loved
my time in undergrad and came out of it with so many experiences, friends and invaluable
skills. The idea of being just a small part of a student’s college experience and
helping them to find a transformative experience like mine is so exciting to me!
My advice for someone who is applying.
Visit campus! As important as it is for a school to have your intended program and
student resources, it is also important that you feel comfortable on campus. Visiting
campus is a great way to get a sense for the community and atmosphere of a school
and to gauge whether you feel comfortable there. If you feel at home and comfortable
on campus, you will be even more successful in your academics. Towson has a pretty
impressive campus as well! Also do not hesitate to use your admissions counselor as
a resource during the admissions process. We are here to help!
Something people might not know about TU.
We have a really active student body and there are literally hundreds of clubs and
organizations that students can be involved in! We have over 280 student groups that
range from service, cultural clubs, athletic clubs, special interest groups, arts
programs and many more. You can even start your own club!
