BTU hosts several events to align community engagement efforts across campus and to expand collaborations with existing partners. These events include opportunities to tap into BTU, expand partnerships and collaborations, and learn best practices.
featured event - VENDOR FAIR
Wednesday, June 12, 11:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., University Union
Explore products and services from local, small, and minority- and women-owned businesses. Participating vendors have the benefit of learning about upcoming contracting opportunities.
- 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.: Certification Panel and Lunch - Panelists will provide strategies for businesses looking to gain Minority Business Enterprise, Small Business Reserve, and veteran-owned small business certifications and the benefits of seeking procurement and contracting opportunities with state agencies, like Towson University.
- 1–4:30 p.m.: Vendor Fair - Featuring vendors of all kinds, with a focus on MBE/SBR certified businesses. Network
and engage with small, minority, veteran, women-owned, local businesses and diversify
your procurement activities.

BTU Roundtable
Tuesday, April 2, 8–10:30 a.m., University Union 329
Join TU faculty, staff, and community partners to discuss community engagement and outreach efforts, lessons learned, and explore opportunities for you to connect and collaborate. This roundtable event allows for small group discussions, with attendees rotating between tables every 15 minutes.
BTU Engagement Forum
Wednesday, April 17, 9–11 a.m.
Join us for the first BTU Engagement Forum where we are bringing together a variety of campus leaders to provide updates and resources related to Towson University's engagement work. Topics will include:
- Partnerships and BTU Database overview
- Faculty and student community engagement best practices and opportunities
- High-impact educational practice
- Engaging with prospective students: recruitment guide and the Slate system
- Using philanthropy to enhance engagement
- The TU Master Plan: how does it affect me
BTU on the Road: Federal Armored Museum
Tuesday, April 30, 1–2:30 p.m.
Join us for an immersive outing to the Federal Armored Museum and explore current and potential connections to exchange knowledge, enhance experiential learning, and expand the capacity of the museum. Just a few areas of potential collaboration include K-12 curriculum and program development, video creation/editing, self-defense, and entrepreneurship.
Engagement Meet & Greet
Wednesday, May 8, 2:30–5 p.m.
Calling all faculty and staff looking to connect with each other and with engagement leads across campus. Come meet the BTU-Engagement Council representatives and network with key faculty and staff involved in community engagement, outreach, and partnership efforts to fully understand the "who's who" of engagement at TU. The event will include a structured speed networking program followed by open networking with beverages and light food.
