Biography

As partnerships coordinator, Emma provides support for TU’s community engagement work and economic inclusion efforts throughout Greater Baltimore. She connects with external partners and collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to grow TU’s external partnerships. Through the BTU initiative, Emma utilizes engagement information to maintain the BTU database and story map as well as process support applications. Additionally, she supports BTU events and programs such as the Baltimore Nonprofit Summit. 

Previously, Emma served as a graduate assistant for TU Accelerated Programs and held an internship with Grantwriting In Valued Environments (G.I.V.E.). She has a background in program development, student affairs, funding research, and experience working with community organizations. She has written community pieces and programming documents for nonprofit organizations in Baltimore and interned at Art with a Heart and the Howard County Office of Children and Families, where she supported classroom arts programming and developed racial justice and equity resource guides for community partners.

Education

Emma holds an M.A. in professional studies and B.S. in family and human Services with a business administration minor from Towson University.

Personal

Emma spends her free time curating thrifted items for her apartment, taking care of her cat and pet snails, working on art projects and crafts, traveling to Pennsylvania to visit family, and listening to podcasts.
