Leari Jones
Programming & Business Specialist
Biography
As programming and business specialist for the StarTUp at the Armory, Leari develops and implements student-centered programs that enable them to explore their entrepreneurial potential and supports faculty in integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into their courses and activities. She also supports signature programs of the StarTUp to foster an environment of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
Previously, Leari was a Teach for America Teacher (2020) and a Venture for America Fellow (2022). She also served as director of curriculum and marketing at Dent Education, LGBTQ+ specialist at Youth Services of Tulsa, and a teacher in Tulsa Public Schools.
Education
Leari holds a B.A. in criminal justice from Georgia College and State University and an A.A. in criminal justice from East Georgia State College. She is pursuing an M.S. in diversity, equity, and inclusion leadership at University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Personal
Leari was born and raised in Savannah, GA. She enjoys longboarding, houseplant care, and puzzling.
