In this online certificate program you’ll gain leadership skills and knowledge that will give you a competitive edge in the health marketplace.
Graduates of the health leadership graduate certificate pursue careers in a broad range of health care and public health fields.
The 12-credit certificate program consists of four graduate level courses, three of which are required, plus one pre-approved elective. The certificate can be completed in nine to 15 months on a part-time or full-time basis.
All required coursework is mapped to at least one National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) competency area. Some courses cross multiple competency areas. Graduates of this certificate program gain health leadership skills in high demand by employers who now prioritize business and management skills, such as conflict management and behavior change.

Units earned from the health leadership certificate can be applied to the master's degree in health science. Students in the certificate program who decide to pursue the master's will need to apply and meet all graduate program admission requirements.
Students currently enrolled in any concentration of the Health Science (M.S.) can earn this certificate as part of their program. Speak with your graduate adviser about how the certificate coursework fits within your concentration.
