Biography

Sean joins Towson University after earning a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in physical education, sports and exercise science, during which he taught a wide range of undergraduate courses, earning the “Outstanding Teaching Assistant of the Year” award in 2022. With a background in strength and conditioning and athletics, Sean earned a master’s degree in education from Portland State University in 2015 and taught secondary physical education for five years. Sean's research areas include technology use for teaching and learning in physical education, secondary curriculum design and instruction and fitness education. Sean is also a volunteer and mentor working with incarcerated youth for Janus Youth Programs for over 10 years.
