USM Hagerstown Nursing Program
The Department of Nursing is meeting the educational needs of nurses throughout the state by offering its basic/pre-licensure option in Hagerstown, MD.
About the Nursing Major at Hagerstown
The nursing major curriculum at the USM Hagerstown (USMH) Center is identical to that offered at the Towson main campus. Clinical sites are in the Western Maryland and greater Baltimore areas. Students accepted to the nursing major at this location will complete their nursing program requirements at the USMH Center.
TU does not offer any non-nursing course at this location, so students are encouraged to have all non-nursing degree requirements completed by program start. If a student still needs to complete non-nursing degree requirements when they start the program, they may need to go to the main campus or take online courses. USMH courses also offer the benefit of reduced student fees.
