Biography

Jennifer L. Anderson joined the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice in Spring 2020 as a half-time lecturer in Anthropology, teaching ANTH 457 (Advanced Forensic Investigation). Her teaching focuses on developing critical thinking skills while processing crime scenes, maintaining professionalism on a crime scene, and courtroom testimony. Professor Anderson currently works full-time at the Baltimore City Police Department as a Crime Laboratory Technician Supervisor within the Crime Scene Unit. She is a Certified Crime Scene Investigator with the IAI (International Association for Identification). Additionally, she has been an active member of FEMORS (Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System) since 2008, where she serves as an Evidence Specialist.
