Student Resources

The College of Liberal Arts has a multitude of resources to assist students in achieving their academic goal. These resources include computer labs, alterative learning spaces, and houses the Writing Center.  The LA Building also houses the LA Café; a scaled down version of our dining halls offering made-to-order, a la carte items that include sandwiches, wraps, coffee, and sushi.

Alternative Learning Spaces

The College of Liberal Arts has twelve (12) Alternative Learning Spaces. These quiet spaces are used for studying, student collaboration, educational events, and student group meetings. In some areas, the Alternative Learning Spaces have computers attached to 42 inch LCD monitors and a interface box to allow students, faculty, and guests to connect their laptops and other peripherals. Whiteboards are also available to mimic the classroom experience outside of the classroom.

Labs

The College of Liberal Arts has 7 Windows Operating System computer labs located throughout the building with general software such as Microsoft Office, and departmental specific software such as ArcGIS, SPSS, Faces, Write-N-Cite, and Idrisi. The college also has 1 Mac lab that primarily services the Anthropology majors and EMF majors studying a joint EMF and Anthropology curriculum.

Large Format Printing

For CLA students presenting research posters, the College of Liberal Arts provides free printing on our HP LaserJet Z6810 large format printer. Please see your faculty member or the administrative assistant of your department for more information.

Please note that this can only be used by CLA students printing large format posters in conjuction with or for CLA courses/research.  Please submit posters at least two (2) business days prior to your anticipated need.
