Mandy Dishon is an alum of Towson University with a degree in Elementary Education. During her four years at TU, she was a student in the Maryland Collaborative for Teacher Education, a state-wide pre-service program that prepared teachers for elementary and middle school science and mathematics. She went on to teach middle school science in Montgomery County for twelve years. Throughout that time, Mandy earned a master’s degree in Earth and Space Science from Johns Hopkins University and became Nationally Board-Certified in Early Adolescent Science. In 2015, she came to TU as a Professional Development School Supervisor for elementary education and has supervised interns in Baltimore, Howard and Anne Arundel counties. Additionally, Mandy has taught courses in pre-service teacher education in Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. She is currently working on her Ph.D. at the University of Maryland College Park in Teacher Education and Professional Development.
