Biography

Prior to coming to Towson University in 2002, Dr. Mogge ran an alternative school for Chicago high school dropouts, worked in adult literacy and created a developmental reading program at Columbia College Chicago. At Towson University, Dr. Mogge has created and taught several courses, most in the master's reading education program and coordinated the development of graduate level teaching English learner courses. For 10 years, he has served as the M.Ed. in Reading Education program director and recently led the expansion of the Teaching English Learners Graduate Certificate Program. Dr. Mogge's scholarship includes multilingual learners and adolescent and adult literacy and literacy in movement-related disciplines including adventure sports, dance and physical education.
