Jenee Mateer

Biography

Born in Pittsburgh, PA. Jenee Mateer is a photographer & video artist. She has exhibited in national juried exhibitions: venues as the Biggs Museum, Delaware Center for Contemporary Art, The Rhode Island Foundation, LACDA --Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts. Her work has been included in prestigious exhibitions and venues such as the Scope International Art Fair in Miami, the San Francisco Art MKT, the ArtHamptons Art Fair and The Texas Contemporary Art Fair. Work includes straight representational photographs as well as pieces created through a process of layering both original photographs & appropriated images. Recent work has also included video, installation and work with mixed media materials such as plaster, resin and wax. Jenee Mateer lives and works in Baltimore, MD and she is represented by Jordan Faye Contemporary.
