Kanika Jackson (she/her) is a Lecturer in the Communication Studies department at Towson University. She teaches a variety of courses, including Public Speaking, Advanced Public Speaking, Advocacy and Argument, and Communication and Popular Culture. Jackson is also the Co-Director of the Public Communication Center (PCC) at TU. Jackson has a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton and a master’s degree in Communication Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education Administration doctoral program at Morgan State University. Her dissertation is titled, "It Has Everything to Do with Race: Exploring the Undergraduate Interpersonal Experiences of Black Alumni from Historically White Institutions."
