Department of Dance

The Department of Dance is a center of excellence in dance education and artistry.

Towson offers professional dance training within the context of a comprehensive liberal arts education. Majors experience rigorous preparation to dance and create dance at all ages and stages of life—in professional companies, as educators and as arts advocates.

UArts Students Summer dance audition

  1. The Department of Dance will also be holding an in-person BFA audition for just UArts School of Dance students on Friday June 28th from 10:00am -12:30pm ESTWe will be waiving the Audition Fee and we will also be offering Talent Scholarships at this audition. For more information on this audition, please have students reach out to Reggie Cole, Department of Dance Administrative Assistant at  with their interest.
  2. For questions related to transfer credits, Towson University in general, and admission processes, UArts current/transfer students should reach out to Viviana Vacaflor -  who will be the Transfer Admissions Counselor in the TU Admissions Office.
  3. For questions related to Towson University in general and admission processes, UArts incoming freshman students should reach out to Kaila Groben -  who will be the point of contact for incoming first-year/freshmen in the TU Admissions Office.
  4. All UArts students interested in attending Towson University this fall 2024 semester can be considered for the TU Black and Gold Scholarship if they are from the neighboring states of: Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia.

  • the only B.F.A. in dance performance and choreography with a Dance Education PreK-12 Teacher Concentration in the Maryland State higher education system
