Biography
Tammy L. Mills, a Baltimore native, began singing and playing piano at the age of five. She was accompanying school choirs by the time she was twelve. Mrs. Mills has a B.A. and an M.S. in Music Education as well as a Certificate in Dalcroze, Orff, and Kodaly from Towson University where she studied piano under the tutelage of Reynaldo Reyes and Larry Crawford. For the past 35 years, she has taught vocal music in Baltimore County public schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels; most of those years were at Perry Hall Middle School. She also accompanied the County Honors Chorus for thirty years and served as the back-up accompanist for The Candlelighters (a women’s community choir). Currently, she is serving as the accompanist for Canticle Singers of Baltimore. She is a church musician for Harvest Christian Ministries but has been in music ministry for a lifetime.
Mrs. Mills is an active member of the Maryland Music Educations Association. She is a past president of the Maryland Choral Educations Association and continues to serve on their board.
