Responsible for over 61 buildings, 329 acres, and six million square feet of space, the Facilities Management department plans, designs, constructs, maintains, and operates Towson University's physical environment. Our goal is to serve the diverse needs of the campus community, focusing on responsive and reliable customer service.

What are the maintenance and repair servicess offered?
While routine maintenance and repairs are provided free of charge, larger projects
and special cleaning may be billed to the department. For urgent concerns, call Work Control 24/7 at 410-704-2481.

Can I rent a car through Towson?
To rent a university vehicle, you must have a valid driver’s license, be employed by Towson University, and travel fewer than 150 miles one-way or 300 miles round-trip from TU's campus. Cars, eight-passenger vans, and 10-passenger vans are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who do I contact about office space?
All space requests must be submitted to Facilities Planning. Space requests must be submitted by the chairperson, dean, or director responsible for the program and must be signed by the appropriate dean and vice president, with justification for additional space and space changes, a description of any special needs, and the number of personnel requiring accommodations.
Who do I contact about an office move?
To request Moving Services, submit a Material Management Service Request (MMSR) via DocuSign. Please note that the MMSR requires that university property be identified by its property tag number. If a property tag number cannot be found upon inspection, a serial number will be required. All electronics have serial numbers. Most likely, a property without a tag or serial number will fall into the furniture category.
