Biography

I am a current Ph.D. student in the instructional technology program at Towson University. I taught middle and high school science in Baltimore County Public Schools for 17 years, where I developed engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences for diverse student populations. I have taught in various placements, including non-public, comprehensive, and alternative education schools. I was also a consulting teacher for five years, mentoring new and tenured educators in refining and growing their instructional practice through best practices in pedagogy, curriculum development and student-centered learning.

As the Science Master Teacher for Towson UTeach, I focus on preparing preservice secondary STEM teachers by integrating research-based instructional strategies, technology-enhanced learning and content pedagogy that supports diverse learners. My work emphasizes justice-centered STEM education, ensuring that future educators are equipped to create inclusive, equitable, and socially relevant learning environments that empower all students in STEM fields.
