Students who complete the graduate program in environmental science are well prepared to work in a variety of environmental fields.
The graduate programs in environmental science focus on environmental issues and problems faced by metropolitan areas.
The environmental science graduate program is for individuals who are in the environmental work force, are looking to enter the environmental work force, or who are public school teachers who wish to expand their knowledge of environmental sciences to aid in teaching this specialty. Program graduates are well prepared to work in environmental consulting; education; industry; federal, state, and county environmental agencies; and nonprofit environmental groups.
As an interdisciplinary program, our faculty come from many departments across the university. They represent a wide-range of expertise and experiences that enhance student learning and networking. Please follow this link to learn more about our faculty and their research interests.
Please consult the Environmental Science Master's Program Handbook often as you make progress though your graduate career as it contains pertinent information.
When you are a teaching or research assistant, you should register for between 5 and 7 credits of classes. If you have no past or current financial aid considerations this is all you need to do. If you are seeking deferment from past financial aid obligations or seeking current aid (i.e., obtaining a current loan) as a full-time student then you will need to contact Dr. Moore since your teaching or research assistantship will provide the needed credits to be classified as a full-time student.
