The Intersection of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Work, and Leadership Workshop

In a time when the importance of equity work and initiatives is being fiercely debated, this learning opportunity offers a unique and transformative opportunity to delve into the heart of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the realms of work and leadership. Led by the dynamic and visionary Chrissy M. Thornton, President and CEO of Associated Black Charities, this highly interactive session is designed to not only impart foundational knowledge but also inspire actionable change.

By the end of the workshop, participants are able to:

Understand and articulate key diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and definitions.
Identify historical events and policies in Maryland that impact current efforts.
Recognize the integral role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership and organizational goal setting.
Apply ABC's Ten Essential Questions to evaluate and enhance initiatives.
Analyze real-life case studies to understand practical applications.
Develop actionable plans to improve efforts within their organizations and on their personal leadership journeys.
