TU salutes the fallen on Memorial Day
Towson University remembers the men and women who have given their lives in service to their country.
The United States' unparalleled freedom was secured in part by those who have given their lives in service to the ideal, here at home and all over the world.
This Memorial Day weekend, we reflect on the service and sacrifice of our nation’s fallen heroes. Towson University
was founded shortly after the Civil War, and since then, members of the TU community
have answered the call for their country.
It is for them, and all of the members of the military who have given their lives
in service to this country, that we pause this weekend.
The TU community, and particularly our Veterans Center, offers deep gratitude for all those in the nation's history who gave, as President Abraham Lincoln said, "the last full measure of devotion."
