Towson University's Emily Dietz '18 and Caroline Dye '14 were both featured in Carroll County Times articles, praising their anti-drug PSA and commitment to serving others through the Peace Corps, respectively.
Dietz and three of her 10 siblings won a Harford County contest sponsored by the county's Office of Drug Control Policy. The PSA will appear in local theaters, beginning on July 7 and run through the end of July.
Dye is preparing to embark on a 27-month trip abroad with the Peace Corps to help at-risk children in the Philippines. After spending three months acclimating to the country, she will move on to her placement in a small community.
According to The Times, Dye will be working with juvenile offenders, victims of sex trafficking and sexual abuse and kids at risk of not finishing school, by partnering with residents on projects that will help children with“life skills” and “give them positive energy to keep going.”
