The National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) recognized Towson University’s Dan Slattery and Kelly Crispo for their outstanding contributions to their field of expertise.
Slattery received the East Regional Mentor Award, while the organization presented Crispo with the East Regional Rising Star Award.
Slattery’s award highlights his excellence in the welcoming of new NACAS members and promoting involvement at the regional and national levels. Slattery said he was surprised and honored to be recognized for his work.
Crispo’s award recognized her service achievements and potential in the field. It comes with a scholarship of $1,000 used for the CX3 conference registration fee, travel and accommodation. After seven years in the industry, Crispo is thankful for the award and excited about the future.
“My involvement with NACAS has begun only recently, and I am following the footsteps of some great leaders here at TU,” she says. “It’s inspiring to be recognized for work for which I have passion and truly enjoy.”
The National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) started in 1969 as an association for the non-academic business side of higher education through multiple outlets of campus services developed for student needs. This includes services such as school stores, housing, food service, and transportation.
This story is one of several related to President Kim Schatzel’s priorities for Towson
