Congrats to the graduates of 2019!

The pomp and circumstance of Commencement took the spotlight this week, as Towson University welcomed its newest alumni during the 2019 Spring Commencement[BROKEN LINK] ceremonies at SECU Arena.
President Kim Schatzel shared the same closing message to each of the graduates: "Go inspire, go achieve, go serve — and go Tigers!"
Over the six ceremonies, Towson University conferred a total of 3,455 degrees, with 2,965 undergraduate degrees, 475 graduate degrees and 15 doctoral degrees.
The graduates credit the focused academic cohorts, their supportive campus bosses, the real-world opportunities along the way. TU provided hands-on lab experiences, mentoring and accreditation, expert feedback to refine natural talent, a robust roster of academic offerings for flexibility, and the opportunity to parlay award-winning research into a career.
From the nontraditional student pursuing a new career path, to those who knew TU — and a specific academic program — was home for them, commencement is a celebration for those who have achieved a shared distinction. They all became TU alums this week.
The College of Liberal Arts gave out the most undergraduate degrees (822), followed by the College of Business (672) and the College of Health Professions (644).
Four colleges handed out over 100 graduate degrees—the College of Liberal Arts (112), the College of Health Professions (110), the College of Education (106) and the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics (102).
